IPHONE’S APPLE PAY COMING SOON TO CVS, 7-ELEVEN
You’ll soon be able to use your iPhone or Apple Watch to pay for prescriptions at CVS or a Slurpee at 7-Eleven. The two previous retail holdouts will start rolling out support nationwide for the Apple Pay mobile payments system in the fall. Apple CEO Tim Cook made the announcement during a Tuesday afternoon earnings call with investors. CVS said approximately 7,800 stand-alone pharmacies will accept Apple Pay. The decision marks a turnaround from October 2014, when the drugstore chain stopped accepting Apple Pay payments.
