Patrick Stewart is returning to his “Star Trek” roots. CBS All Access has announced that Stewart will headline a new series for the streaming service, reprising his “Star Trek: The Next Generation” character, Capt. Jean-Luc Picard. The series will tell the story of the next chapter of Picard’s life. No title or air date yet, but Trekkies are excited, as is Stewart. “It is an unexpected but delightful surprise to find myself excited and invigorated to be returning to JeanLuc Picard,” he tweeted Saturday.
