Kudos to people with a dream and drive to make it a reality. Even if an ocean cleanup failed, we’d gain important informatio­n that would eventually provide a solution.

In the meantime, either recycle your plastic bottles or don’t buy them anymore. We should look at filling stations for things like cleaning products.

A cleanup is fine, but after they collect all the trash, what are we to do with it? It’s tough to find somebody who wants to recycle it after China stops taking it. Robert Erlenwein

It is a lot more important to focus on doing something about our land, air and sea pollution problems than on climate change and the “solutions” to it, which are expensive and ineffectiv­e.
