ADP: BUSINESSES ADDED 163K JOBS IN AUGUST

Businesses added 163,000 jobs in August, payroll processor ADP said Thursday, possibly signaling the government’s employment report this week will show tepid gains for a second straight month. Economists expected ADP to tally a healthy 200,000 new private-sector jobs, according to a Bloomberg survey.
