FCC PAUSES REVIEW OF T-MOBILE-SPRINT MERGER

-

The Federal Communications Commission has paused the 180-day clock on its review of the proposed T-Mobile and Sprint merger, giving the regulator more time to examine the deal. The FCC typically approves or denies mergers and other transactions within 180 days from the dates when it is officially notified of the deals. T-Mobile, the nation’s No. 3 wireless provider, and No. 4 Sprint announced the merger April 29. The combined company would be valued at $146 billion with more than 90 million customers.
