RED SOX SET TO CLINCH IN BRONX

The Red Sox are in the midst of one of the dominant seasons in the history of Major League Baseball and have the opportunit­y to pour even more salt in the wound of their mortal enemy this week.

Needing just one win to clinch the American League East, the Red Sox head to the Bronx in New York for a three-game set against the Yankees that gets underway Tuesday afternoon.

With 12 games left to play, Boston starts the week with a 103

47 record.

Only six teams have won 110 games in a season, most recently the Mariners in 2001 and who tied the major league record with
