Times a stretch of the Potomac River near Washington was off-limits from June 24, 2017, through Sept. 8 because President Donald Trump visited a golf course, according to a federal lawsuit filed Thursday by the Canoe Cruisers Association of Greater Washington. The suit claims restrictions on access to the river are illegal. A Homeland Security spokesperson told USA TODAY the agency does not comment on pending litigation.
