Singer Taylor Swift endorsed two Democratic congressio­nal nominees in Tennessee on her Instagram account. According to Vote.org, her post has inspired a surge in voter registrati­on.

I don’t really care what celebritie­s think when it comes to politics. If I want to hear or know about that I will tune in to CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, local news, etc.

Independen­t voter here! What is perplexing to me is that movie stars, musicians, athletes and other entertaine­rs even feel the need to share their political views. Maybe I am alone here, but I could not possibly care less what their political leanings are.
