Players to win the CIMB Classic in back-to-back seasons since the tournament became an official FedExCup event in the 2013-14 season — Ryan Moore in 2013 and 2014 and Justin Thomas in 2015 and 2016. Pat Perez is looking to become the third consecutive two-time defending champion. Perez won last year’s tournament by four shots over Keegan Bradley with rounds of 66-65-64-69.

Tway won the Safeway Open, the first tournament of the 2018-19 season, to earn trips to the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the Masters and to the top of the FedExCup standings. There are 41 regular-season events, followed by three playoff events. Justin Rose is the defending champion.
