Man sentenced to 6 years in death of USA TODAY reporter

A Washington man was sentenced to six years in prison for the hit-andrun death of USA TODAY national affairs reporter Oren Dorell.

Daryl Grant Alexander, 47, was sentenced Friday in D.C. Superior Court, the result of a plea deal. Alexander admitted drinking alcohol and smoking PCP before he rear-ended Dorell, who was riding a motorcycle.
