SPEED FREAKS

Any chance we’ll see a sane Talladega?

Godspeak (Godwin Kelly): No way. Everybody starts out nice and easy, but as the checkered flag gets closer, the wrecks get bigger.

Ken’s Call (Ken Willis): Sure, for a while, then we’ll see the insane version. And just think, no practice laps to potentially weed out any gremlins with your car’s handling.

Are you liking the brewing rift between Chase Elliott and Joey Logano?

Godspeak: Elliott and Logano wrecked racing for position. Elliott’s error. Logano returned the favor by holding him up at Homestead. The ball (steering wheel?) is in Elliott’s court. Ken’s Call: Logano used Homestead to issue some payback on Elliott for Bristol. Now we’ll wait to see if Elliott whips out the ol’ double-reverse payback ... assuming Joey ever gets back up there to challenge for a win.
