Softball teams in The 2019 Whole Enchilada Invitational in Las Cruces, New Mexico, one of the largest slow-pitch softball tournaments in the country. This October, though, the tournament is moving to El Paso, Texas, because of New Mexico’s tight restrictions on public gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic. “On average, it brought in approximately 265 teams and 6,000 people total,” said Rochelle MillerHernandez, executive director for Visit Las Cruces. “While we are disappointed ... we understand the pandemic has introduced a number of new challenges for event organizers across the country.”
