The person requested anonymity because no official announceme­nt had been made. The punishment was handed down after a weeks-long investigat­ion by the NFL and Players Associatio­n into the Titans concluded. Tennessee failed to fully implement elements of the NFL-NFLPA COVID-19 protocols, the investigat­ion found, which led to the shutting down of the club’s facility and rescheduli­ng of its games against the Bills and the Steelers.
