- Zach Wichter USA TODAY

Cheers! Delta Air Lines is offering passengers more ways to enjoy themselves at 35,000 feet with an overhaul of its onboard food and beverage menu for the new year.

The airline is expanding its onboard drinks offerings and revamping premium cabin food services on many flights.

“Your onboard meal or beverage should be no different than your go-to restaurant at home, and that’s why we’re constantly reinventing our onboard service at Delta – we always want to surprise and delight our customers with seasonal and fresh menu options,” Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta’s senior vice president of in-flight service, said in a statement. “From delicious Spanish tapas plates to refreshing rosé, there is something new for everyone to enjoy.”

Regional food menus

Delta said it’s looking to introduce more local flavor for Delta One passengers, including restaurant-inspired options on flights out of New York and Los Angeles, as well as tapas for Delta One customers on flights departing from Spain and afternoon tea on flights leaving from London and Dublin. According to a press release, the menu options are set to change seasonally.

Is Delta’s dessert cart coming back?

The airline is also reintroducing its dessert cart in Delta One on international flights, with options that include cake with chocolate ganache, a cheese and grape plate, and a build-your-own vanilla ice cream sundae.

What are the new cocktails?

Delta’s onboard cocktail partner Tip Top Proper Cocktails will introduce an espresso martini on all flights along with other adult beverage options throughout the year, including an Old Fashioned, Bee’s Knees and a Negroni.

The cocktails are available for free in premium cabins including Comfort+, and Main Cabin passengers can purchase them for $12. Delta One customers on certain flights will also have a newly introduced rosé option among the wine offerings.
