57 That is how many of the 69 players in the field at this week’s RBC Heritage have won on the PGA Tour. They have combined for a total 234 wins, topped by 24 by Rory McIlroy. The field also includes 29 of the top 30 in the FedExCup standings and 43 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Keep an eye on …

• Scottie Scheffler. The Masters champion will attempt to keep his serious heater going. He has won three of his past four starts and finished T-2 in the lone “failure.” Scheffler’s game has been firing on all cylinders but fatigue after an especially stressful week at the Masters could be his undoing this time.

• Justin Thomas. He played the last four holes of his second round at the Masters in 7 over to miss the cut by a stroke. This will be his second tournament since parting with caddie Jim “Bones” Mackay and all eyes will be on Thomas to see if he can bounce back from another disappointing stretch of golf.

• Matt Fitzpatrick. The defending champion used to visit Hilton Head Island on his family vacation and still speaks fondly about the ice cream. His playoff victory was no fluke. Harbour Town is a great venue for his precision game.
