* Valley City Farmers Market will be held every Monday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at Rosebud Parking Lot (across for the City Park white walkbridge) for the 2020 season.

*The Valley City Department of Motor Vehicle is providing on-site title services by appointment only.Vehicle tabs should be renewed by phone from 9:00-11:00 and 12:00 – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday. Please call 701-845-1891.

* The Valley City Public Works Transfer Station will be open on Saturdays again starting July 18th. The new hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

• Thursday, July 16th: NDWS Fun Night Horse Show will be held on July 16th in the outdoor arena at the Winter Show. 5 p.m. entries and 6 p.m. start. Watch the Times-Record for more info.

• Thursday, July 16th: VCPR is hosting a free showing of Sonic the Hedgehog on July 16th in City Park. Be sure to bring your own snacks, along with a lawn chair, or blanket. Show begins at 9 p.m. Watch your TR for more information.

• Thursday, July 16th: Valley City Eagles Club Auxillary members are invited to play Pictionary at the 2nd meeting, July 16th, 7 p.m.

• Friday, July 17th: KOVC/CHI Health at Home Hospice Classic Golf Tournament will be held on July 17th at the Valley City Town and Country Club, shotgun start at 10 a.m. Watch your TR for more information to come.

• July 17th & 18th: North Dakota Horse Park will hold races Friday, July 17th & Saturday, July 18th. Check their website for more information.

• Saturday, July 18th: 15th Annual Litchville Main Street Car Show will be held July 18th with registration at 11 a.m. For more information call 701-4908633 or 701-320-2059.

• Saturday, July 18th: Dedication Day Hike will be held July 18th. Meet at the Rosebud Visitor Center in Valley City at 9am to carpool up to the Baldhill Creek Wildlife Management Area at Lake Ashtabula for a hike out to the primitive campsite and back. There will be a special ceremony to dedicate a memorial to Clyde Anderson (pictured above) along with lunch provided by the chapter at the campsite.

• Sunday, July 19th: 2nd Annual PD vs FB Softball Game, hosted by the Valley City Parks and Recreation will be held on Sunday, July 19th from 2-p.m., Watch our local authorities battle it out on the softball field for a fun filled family event on the VCPR ball field, 733 8th Ave SW, Valley City.

• Sunday, July 19th: Join us for a community worship service, sponsored by Connect Church and New Life Assembly of God Church in Valley City, at City Park in Valley City, Sunday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. There will be live worship and a joint message shared by Pastor Fred Morrison and Pastor Terry Detwiler.

• Sunday, July 19th: Sweet, Treats and a Meet & Greet to get to know your District 24 Dem-NPL candidates for ND State Legislature: Sen. Larry Robinson, Naomi Muscha, and Bradley Edin to be held July 19th from 3:30-5 p.m. at Little Yellowstone Park.

• Monday, July 20th: Let’s Walk Valley City from 5-8 pm. FREE for everyone! This is a walking, biking, rollerblading, running event around the Jefferson Mile and surrounding neighborhood. • Wednesday, July 22nd: Valley City Crazy Daze will be held throughout Valley City. Come downtown for savings throughout Central Avenue as well as explore the outskirts of Main Avenue for additional values.

• Thursday, July 23rd: Valley City Eagles Club Auxiliary Hamburger night will be held July 23rd from 4-7 p.m. at the club.
