*The Valley City Department of Motor Vehicle is providing on-site title services by appointmen­t only.Vehicle tabs should be renewed by phone from 9:00-11:00 and 12:00 – 3:00 pm Monday – Friday. Please call 701-845-1891.

• Thursday, July 16th:

NDWS Fun Night Horse Show will be held on July 16th in the outdoor arena at the Winter Show. 5 p.m. entries and 6 p.m. start. Watch the Times-Record for more info.

VCPR is hosting a free showing of Sonic the Hedgehog on July 16th in City Park. Be sure to bring your own snacks, along with a lawn chair, or blanket. Show begins at 9 p.m. Watch your TR for more informatio­n.

• Saturday, July 18th:

Dedication Day Hike will be held July 18th. Meet at the Rosebud Visitor Center in Valley City at 9am to carpool up to the Baldhill Creek Wildlife

Management Area at Lake Ashtabula for a hike out to the primitive campsite and back. There will be a special ceremony to dedicate a memorial to Clyde Anderson (pictured above) along with lunch provided by the chapter at the campsite.

• Sunday, July 19th:

2nd Annual PD vs FB Softball Game, hosted by the Valley City Parks and Recreation will be held on Sunday, July 19th from 2-p.m., Watch our local authoritie­s battle it out on the softball field for a fun filled family event on the VCPR ball field, 733 8th Ave SW, Valley City.

Join us for a community worship service, sponsored by Connect Church and New Life Assembly of God Church in Valley City, at City Park in Valley City, Sunday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. There will be live worship and a joint message shared by Pastor Fred Morrison and Pastor Terry Detwiler.

• Monday, July 20th: Let’s Walk Valley City from 5- 8 pm. FREE for everyone! This is a walking, biking, rollerblad­ing, running event around the Jefferson Mile and surroundin­g neighborho­od. • Wednesday, July 22nd: Music at the City Park Bandshell to feature a Comedy Show on Wed, July 22 @ 7:15 pm. Come enjoy some good laughs! Bring your lawn chair & observe social distancing. In case of bad weather, the program will be cancelled.

22nd: Valley City Crazy Daze will be held throughout Valley City. Come downtown for savings throughout Central Avenue as well as explore the outskirts of Main Avenue for additional values.
