Agencies and Independen­t Providers Invited to Title IV-E Prevention Services Meeting, January 12th

Special to Times-Record BISMARCK, N.D. – Building stronger families is one of the North Dakota Department of Human Services’ key priorities. To help achieve that goal, the Children and Family Services Division is inviting agencies and independen­t providers that serve children and families to an online informatio­nal meeting Jan. 12, from 2 to 3 p.m. CT, to learn how to apply to become approved Title IV-E prevention services providers. Participan­ts will also learn about provider requiremen­ts, reimbursem­ent, tools and how to access online resources.

Interested independen­t and agency providers can join the virtual online meeting or can participat­e by conference call at 701328- 0950, Conference ID 266 139 344#. On Aug. 17, 2020, North Dakota became the seventh state in the country to receive approval of its Family First Prevention Services Act: Title IV-E Prevention Services Plan from the federal Children’s Bureau. This plan gives North Dakota access to federal Title IV-E funding for approved evidence-based prevention services proven to strengthen and stabilize children and families so children can remain safely in their homes. Services include behavioral health and substance abuse treatment and recovery support services, as well as in-home parent skill-based programs.
