VCHS Hi-Liner Wrestling Takes on Lisbon Broncos
Valley City wrestlers went to Lisbon for a nonconference dual and to get some good competition. Coach Hansen says the athletes had a good competition. Lisbon was formerly the #1 team in Class B before recently being knocked off by the South Border Mustangs.
They wrestled well, but Valley City HiLiners lost 21-39 to the Broncos. Players had some real good matchups and competed well, but needed a little more fire power from the upper weights.
Some stand out performances were Koltyn Grebel defeating Kashdon Wadeson 10-3. Logan Novara defeating Blaze Reinke 7-3, and Ethan Miller defeating Carter Wallner 6-2.
Some of our wrestlers were switched around for the matchups and it worked for the most part.
Espen Kunze gutted out a 6-5 victory to help our team win 6 matches that night.

The wrestling match for Thursday, January 14th was postponed against West Fargo.
