Handy Home & Hardware’s New Location

- By Ellie Boese treditor@times-online.com

Handy Home & Hardware has officially reopened in its new location, 727 15th Ave SW. Owners Megan and Tony Zarbano announced in October 2020 that they had finalized the purchase of the former Shopko building, which would become home to the new Handy Home & Hardware, previously Handy Hardware & Rental.

“We wanted to expand our business to provide a better ‘one-stop shop’ for this amazing community,” Megan said, “and part of doing that meant we needed to change our business name to reflect our new expanded product lines.”

Rebranded as Handy Home & Hardware, the business focuses on providing essential products, services and solutions for the needs of homeowners, contractors and local businesses while also continuing to offer equipment rental options.

The building’s redesign includes LED lights, new flooring, revamped check-out counters, and features a service counter, rental center, large paint design area, wide aisles, easy-to reach shelving and clear interior signage.

In addition to typical hardware services such as plumbing and electrical, Handy Home & Hardware now offers a wide range of products including toys, pet supplies, hunting and fishing equipment, bird feeding products, household supplies, kitchen goods and so much more.

As well as being a local business that continues to supply the community with excellent products, Handy Home & Hardware’s owners, management and staff remain committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

They’re open and ready to help you find whatever you need, but they want you to now that there is still so much more developments and growth to come. Right now, Megan says they’re expecting to receive many lawn mowers and more than 70 bikes to put on the sales floor. Also, stay tuned for a Grand Opening celebration sometime in the future. “It isn’t easy to keep small-town America thriving, especially with big-box stores and ecommerce so readily available,” she says, “but what we offer is so much more than that: exceptional customer service, industry expertise and a familiar face.”

Handy Home & Hardware is open MondayFri. 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Sat. 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sun., 12-4 p.m.
