Find Community Resources You Need on myfirstlink.org

-

Needing resources can be overwhelming and difficult to find when not knowing where to turn. It can be scary calling for help. Myfirstlink.org is a great resource to go. On FirstLink’s website, there is the Community Directory online, and it is visible to the public.

There are two ways to get to FirstLink’s online Community Directory of resources. When you look at FirstLink’s website, you can get to this Directory by clicking the tab “resources” and choosing either Crisis Services or Suicide support Services, scrolling down to the bottom where it says View Our Community. The other way is by clicking the Community Directory on the home page.

FirstLink’s Online Directory splits up into the type of need an individual may have. Individuals can also narrow the search by entering the city that they are looking for resources in. The online Directory also breaks the needs down into different categories. For example, when someone selects housing, there are drop-down displays with shelter, Housing payment assistance, and Housing search and information.

FirstLink is always available by phone by simply calling 2-1-1 or 701-235-7335 24/7 and is happy to assist.

FirstLink is a free, confidential service available to anyone 24/7/365 for listening and support, referrals to resources/help, and crisis intervention. FirstLink answers the 211 helpline, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and communicates via the text line 898-211. FirstLink provides these services across the entire state of North Dakota and parts of Minnesota. Dial 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898-211 from anywhere in our service area for confidential help and support.
