About Thundering Saints

Rocky Gabel started the Debbie Gabel Memorial/Thundering Saints in 2009 after his wife Debbie passed away. She had been battling ovarian cancer for four years. Since its founding, the non-profit organization has kept Debbie’s memory while raising funds to donate to the fight against cancer and has even expanded to donating to organizations providing compassionate end-of-life care. Each year, the Thundering Saints organize the Debbie Gabel Ride, where motorcyclists gather to journey around Barnes County in memory of Debbie. Donations to The Debbie Gabel Memorial/ Thundering Saints and funds raised through the annual Memorial Cancer Ride, and their charitable gaming sites make it possible for the Thundering Saints to donate considerable funds to worthy organizations, including CHI Mercy Health at Home & Hospice of Valley City, Hospice of the Red River Valley, Jamestown Regional Medical Center Cancer Unit, and Sanford.
