*Community Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid Class will be held May 17th from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Health Education Center at CHI Mercy Health hospital. The class is for anyone in the community needing CPR/AED and/ or FIRST AID certificat­ion. Offered to general public by the Valley City Cardiac Ready Community team. *Barnes County Municipal Court will continue to require masks until further notice.

*Abused Persons Outreach Center (APOC) will have a temporary change in office hours. The office will now be open from 9AM-3PM, located at 160 2nd St NW, Valley City. 24 Hour Crisis hotline 701845-0072.

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointmen­t only by going online to dot.nd.gov or calling 1-855-633-6835.

• The Valley City Beautifica­tion Committee will be holding two pruning seminars on April 22nd, one at 1:30 p.m. and the other at 6 p.m. The 1:30 session group will meet at the VCSU gazebo just east of Graichen Gym on College Street SW. The 6:00 session will be held at the Hi-Liner Prairie Gardens at Orchard at the corner of 5th Avenue and 9th Street NW. Both sessions are free and open to the public.
