Grand Forks Mission Recruits Real Broadway Talent for Virtual Show

Grand Forks, ND – Northlands Rescue Mission is excited to announce LIVE from Broadway!, a virtual benefit show featuring performanc­es from New York City cabaret stars.

LIVE from Broadway! is a unique opportunit­y for North Dakota and Minnesota residents to experience real Broadway cabaret without traveling to New York or paying hundreds of dollars for tickets. The roughly hour-long show will be streamed from the Triad Theatre in New York City on April 29th. Attendees will enjoy performanc­es from Karen Akers (Tony-nominated), Jeff Harnar (multiple Cabaret awards for Best Vocalist and Best Director), Karen Mason (13-time MAC Award winner), and New York cabaret up-and-comers Ari Axelrod and Maria Wirries. The show will be hosted by Cody Gerszewski, who grew up in Grand Forks and is now a New Yorkbased Musical Theatre performer. The production is being managed by notable New York musical director Alex Rybeck.

Tickets for LIVE from Broadway! are available now through Eventbrite or at http://www.northlands­rescuemiss­ion.org/broadway. Tickets are $30 per family. Restaurant ticket packages are available for $70, which include a $50 gift card to one of three Grand Forks area restaurant­s: Ely’s Ivy, Sky’s Restaurant, or the Blue Moose Bar & Grill.

Proceeds from this event will support homeless men, women, and families through Northlands Rescue Mission. The show will begin on Thursday, April 29th at 7:00 pm through Eventbrite.
