WEEKLY ONGOING EVENTS/REMINDERS:

*Valley City Rotary Club Pancake and Sausage Breakfast has been cancelled.

*Valley City Optimist Club Roller Skating will start on Sunday, November 7th.

*Valley City Public Works Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday’s after October 30th.

*Valley City Viper Youth Hockey Club registrati­on is now open at www.vcvipers.com for boys and girls ages 3 and up. Skating ability not necessary, we will teach kids to skate. Equipment rental available. For more informatio­n email administra­tor@vcvipers.com

*Little Liners Basketball registrati­on is now open by emailing Tyler VanBruggen at tvbagent@gmail.com or by calling 701-840-8430. Are to grades K-3 to learn fundamenta­l of basketball skills and have fun while building excitement for the sport. One hour practices begin Nov. 7th at the HAC.

*Rock ‘n Bowl Friday Nights at the VC Bowling Alley for family and small kids from 6-8 p.m. and then all ages from 9 p.m.12 a.m.

*ARC Thrift-E-Shop & Granny’s Closet have posted they are not accepting donations, until further notice and thank everyone for their support.

*Farmers Market will be held every Monday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m. in the Rosebud parking lot in Valley City through November 1st tentativel­y based on weather.

*Barnes County Museum, is open and welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. The museum is located at 315 Central Ave N, Valley City. Call Wes at 701-845-0966 for tour and additional informatio­n.

*Barnes County Municipal Court will continue to following CDC guidelines at the Barnes County Courthouse asking that vaccinated visitors do not have to wear a mask but do ask non-vaccinated visitors to continue wearing a mask.

*Abused Persons Outreach Center (APOC) will have a temporary change in office hours. The office will now be open from 9AM-3PM, located at 160 2nd St NW, Valley City. 24 Hour Crisis hotline 701845-0072.

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointmen­t only by going online to dot. nd.gov or calling 1-855633-6835.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule: Monday 8 p.m., Tuesday 6 p.m., Wednesday noon, Friday noon, Saturday 8 p.m. For more informatio­n call 701-845-3705. The meetings are held at 320 2nd Ave SE in Valley City.

• VCSU Solo Song Symposium will be held all day at Vangstad Auditorium.

• VCBC Public Library Activities: Ladies Day 11 a.m.-1 p.m. craft making Sea Glass Christmas Trees. Call 845-3821 to register.

• The Eagles Club will be hosting a Ladies’ Day Event from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. C&P Designs will have holiday and home decor available. They invite everyone out to the Eagles Club on Saturday to enjoy the event.

• VC Eagles Activities: JoNell Schaefer wood santa/snowman class 11 a.m.3 p.m. along with Sons of Norway Bake Sale and Whiskey Creek band plays from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.

Sun., Nov. 7

• St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Tower City will be holding a pancake and sausage breakfast on November 7 from 8:30-12:30 in community center. The event is a free will offering featuring breakfast, quilt raffle and bake sale.

• Optimist Roller Skating begins November 7th. Watch your TR for additional details.

• Our Savior’s Lutheran church of Sanborn will hold their Spaghetti & Meatball Supper on Nov. 7th from 4-7 p.m. Free will donation with carryout available. The church is located at 320 4th St., Sanborn, ND.

• VC Eagles Activities: Dakota Design Co wood painting 1 p.m.; Volunteer clean up maintenanc­e day 1 p.m.
