WEEKLY ONGOING EVENTS/REMINDERS:

*Dacotah Bank will be sharing their Community Gift Tree with the families and friends of Valley City. Donate a gift for a child, ages infant through high school by dropping off to the bank at 240 3rd St NW, Valley City. Gift wrap your donation and label with age and for boy or girl.

* Puklich Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, of Valley City is hosting a Drive Away Hunger event now through November 23rd with all donations collected going to the Barnes County Food Pantry. All donations can be dropped off to 721 West Main Street, Valley City.

*Valley City Optimist Club Roller Skating every Sunday, with exception of holidays, from 6-8 p.m. For more informatio­n call Rick Ross at 701-490-0828.

*Valley City Public Works Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday’s until further notice.

*Rock ‘n Bowl Friday Nights at the VC Bowling Alley for family and small kids from 6-8 p.m. and then all ages from 9 p.m.-12 a.m.

*Barnes County Museum, is open and welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. The museum is located at 315 Central Ave N, Valley City. Call Wes at 701-845-0966 for tour and additional informatio­n.

*Abused Persons Outreach Center (APOC) will have a temporary change in office hours. The office will now be open from 9AM-3PM, located at 160 2nd St NW, Valley City. 24 Hour Crisis hotline 701845-0072.

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointmen­t only by going online to dot. nd.gov or calling 1-855633-6835.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule: Monday 8 p.m., Tuesday 6 p.m., Wednesday noon, Friday noon, Saturday 8 p.m. For more informatio­n call 701845-3705. The meetings are held at 320 2nd Ave SE in Valley City.

• VCSU General Student Recital will be held on Nov. 16th at Froemke.

• Jefferson Elementary 2nd grade will have a Veteran’s Day Program on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 p.m. in the Jefferson Gymnasium. All Veterans are invited to attend this program dedicated to them. The evening performanc­e will also be live streamed at hiliners.org. • Current and Pressing Issues for our state will be presented at 7 pm in the Auditorium at the Valley City State University Science Center (on the main floor). Representa­tive Ruth Buffalo from District 27 in Fargo, and Nick Archuleta, president of North Dakota United will cover topics including, Critical Race Theory, redistrict­ing, and what’s being done related to missing and murdered Native American women.
