• Greg Hager Christmas Concert will be held December 18th, 6:30 p.m., at Connect Church. The event is free and open to the public. Connect Church is located at 320 Central Ave. S., Valley City.

• D24 Republicans will be hosting Santa at Alley Beans Coffee on Dec. 18th from 3-5 p.m. Cookies will be available, and children will be able to visit with Santa. The 7th Annual Winter Gun Raffle will be held at 4 p.m. Alley Beans is located at 231 3rd St NE, Valley City.

Sun., Dec. 19

• VC Eagles Club will host free movie day at the Valley Twin Theatre. Enjoy the Spiderman or Encanto movie for free at 2 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 19th with Santa handing out treats after the movie. The theatre is located at 1289 West Main St in Valley City.

• BC Senior Center Meal and Activities: Turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy, green beans, 7 layer bar.

• Heritage Insurance Services of Valley City invite all to enjoy free bowling and Christmas Bingo at

Sky Lanes in Valley City on December 19th from 2-4 p.m. All are welcome. Sky Lanes is located at 2379 Elm St, Valley City.

Dec. 20-24

• Dacotah Bank Holiday Open House will be held Dec. 20-24 sharing treats, hot cider and coffee. Stop in and say hello at 240 3rd St NW, Valley City.

Mon., Dec. 20

• BC Senior Center Meal and Activities: Hamburger on a bun, oven potatoes, squash, mandarin oranges. 1:15 p.m. whist.

Tues., Dec. 21

• Valley City’s Monroe Doctrine Bluegrass Band will vary their concert schedule at the Vault Coffee Shop and Arts Center with the next concert scheduled for Tues., Dec. 21, 7-9 p.m. They will also be varying their lineup with some special guests home for the holidays. • 15th Annual “Sounds of the Season” Brown Bagger

Series, 12:10 to 12:50 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church sanctuary, 138 3rd St. N.W. in Valley City. Rev. Bradley Edin will be the featured performer. Bring your lunch or just come to listen to the music of the holiday season and enjoy provided refreshments.

Dec. 23 & 24

• Barnes County Courthouse will be closed on Thursday, December 23th at 12:00 pm and all day Friday, December 24th in observance of Christmas. The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office and jail will remain staffed.

• Trinity Lutheran Church Christmas Eve candlelight carols and holy communion will be held Friday, December 24th, 4 p.m. The church is located at 499 4th Ave NW, Valley City.

• Congregational United Church of Christ Christmas Eve candlelight service will be held December 24th, 5 p.m. The church is located at 217 4th St NW, Valley City.

• First Baptist Church Christmas service will be held Dec. 24th, 5 p.m. candlelight service, and Dec. 26th 10 a.m. fellowship time, 10:30 a.m. worship. The church is located a 1/2 mile S. of I-94 on Kathryn Road.

• Epworth United Methodist Church carols and candlelight Christmas Eve services will be held Fri., Dec. 24th at 5 & 7 p.m. The church is located at 680 8th Ave SW, Valley City.

• Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Christmas Eve worship will be held Dec. 24th at 3, 4:30 and 9 p.m. Dec. 25th 10 a.m. Christmas Day worship with holy communion. Dec. 26th 8:30 a.m. worship only. The church is located at 138 3rd St NW, Valley City.
