Executive Vice President Retires After 43 Years at Dacotah Bank
Dacotah Bank — (Aberdeen, S.D.) — Rick Rylance has announced his retirement as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Services Officer. Rick graduated from Northern State University in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Starting his banking career in 1978, Rick has over 43 years of service to Dacotah Bank. Known as the
“Road Warrior,” Rick served in many of the communities in Dacotah
Bank’s territory. Over his career, he held numerous roles, including assistant cashier, loan officer, branch manager, bank and market president, regional president, chief financial services officer, and executive vice president. Rick is also a graduate of the Colorado Graduate School of Banking.
Rick has dedicated his life of service to his community. He is a past president and member of economic development boards in Sisseton, Webster, and Rapid City, SD. He served on the South Dakota Economic Development Finance Authority and was a member of the South Dakota Elder Abuse task force.
While in Rapid City, Rick served as Youth and Family Services Board President, Rapid City Rush Hockey Team Foundation board member, and a member of the Black Hills Works Board. Rick also served as a member and board president of the South Dakota Bankers Association.
In addition to his career in banking, Rick and his wife, Rhonda, enjoy fishing, golfing, and spending time at their lake cabin. They have two sons: RJ (wife Leslie and two children, Elliotte and Hayden) and Reid Rylance.
