*Grief Support Group will meet, beginning April 21st, at Alley Beans from 6:30-8 p.m. in Valley City. The group will cover numerous topics and welcomes all ages. *VCHS Cheerleadi­ng. Always wanted to be a cheerleade­r, come join our team! *Babysittin­g Class offered for 7th and 8th graders Tuesday, April 19th and Thursday, April 21st after school. Sign up before April 14th. Cost of the class is $10. A 6th grade age students babysittin­g class will also be offered May 9th, 10 & 12th. The events are both sponsored by CHI Mercy Health and Valley City Optimists. Classes will be held at ELIM Church (South of Shopko). Students can sign up in VC Junior High Office or by contact Kayla Brademeyer at kayla.brademeyer@commonspir­it.org.

*Barnes County 4-H Dog Obedience Class Registrati­on for kids- 3rd grade and up (Dogs- must be 6 months and older) will be held from 6-7 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning May 4th for 10 weeks at National Guard Armory. *BeMobile Verizon is collecting items for a donation drive benefiting the Abused Persons Outreach Center April 11-24. Drop off items such as: soap, hair products, razors, floor, tooth brushes, toothpaste and etc. The store is located at 635 West Main Street, Valley City.

*Valley City Park & Recreation 2022 Summer Guides are available with all sports/activities for the 2022 summer fun. Stop into the Gaukler Center to pick up yours or call 701845-3294. Guides are also available online at www. vcparks.com

*The Drivers License Division is currently traveling to Valley City the first and third Wednesday of each month. Services are available by appointmen­t only by going online to dot.nd.gov or calling 1-855-633-6835.

• Debbie Miller SVFA Fundraiser “Wags & Whiskers” will be held Saturday, April 23rd from 5-7 p.m. at the Valley City Eagles Club. Spaghetti dinner, silent auction and cake walk. All proceeds going to benefit local animals in need.

• Kathryn Rural Fire Department annual gun raffle will be held April 24th with a feed at 5 p.m. until gone at fire station, raffle drawing at 9 p.m. to follow.

• BC Senior Center Meal/ Activities: Knoephla soup, summer sausage and cheese sandwich, chips, whipped Jell-O.

• VCSU Bubble Bash 3 on 3 tourney for boys and girls, grades 3-12 will be held Saturday, April 23rd. Must register by April 15, 2022.
