Curtis Bauer

A funeral mass for Curtis Raymond Bauer, 66, Hope, North Dakota will be 11:00 am, Monday, April 25, 2022 at St. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Hope. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral mass. Burial will be held in Hope Cemetery later in the spring. Curtis passed away Sunday,

Curtis Raymond Bauer, the son of Raymond and Amelia (Kubischta) Bauer, was born on August

18, 1955 in Fargo, North Dakota. He at- tended school in Pills- bury, North Dakota and was a part of the last graduating class from Pillsbury High School in 1974.

Following his gradu- ation from high school Curtis continued to make his home with his mother on the family homestead and continue the farming legacy with the help of neighbors as his father passed away on October 24, 1971. In March of 2002 Curtis retired from farming and moved to Hope. Curtis lovingly devoted much of his life caring for his mother in their home until her passing on June 15, 2020 at the age of 101 years.

Curtis enjoyed gardening and canning to share vegetables, sauces and jams with his nieces and nephews.

Curtis was a member of St. Agatha’s Catholic Church.

Curtis is survived by his sister-in-law Carolyn Bauer, New Brighton, Minnesota; a nephew, Jonathan (Sandy) Bauer and two nieces, Suzanne (Michael)

Everson, and Jodi (Matthew) Heinz. He is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews.

Curtis was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David.
