WEEKLY ONGOING EVENTS/REMINDERS:

*The Bridges Backpack Program / Hi-Liner Pantry will be opening a Summer Grocery every Wednesday evening starting June 1st running thru August 3rd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the FAC’s room at the High School use door # 7. There will not be grab and go lunches this summer due to funding issues. We still want to help any family out that might need a little extra for breakfast, lunches or dinner. No income requirements and no questions asked. Please share! If anyone is interested in donating can do so by bringing it to the High School on Wednesday nights.

*St. Catherine Quilters

make quilts for those in need, meeting every Thursday from 1-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. in the basement gym of St. Catherine School. All are welcome, no experience necessary and supplies are provided. Questions call Christine 701-840-2580 or Lela 701845-8352.

is open and welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. The museum is located at 315 Central Ave N, Valley City. Call Wes at 701-845-0966 for tour and additional information.

• VCBC Public Library activities: Summer Learning Program begins with a 4-6 p.m. with a Pirate Party Kick-off.

• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Chicken kiev, baby bakers, carrots, fresh fruit. Pinochle tournament 1:15 p.m.

• Music in the Park: Dan Brekke - A tribute to legends of country will entertain Wednesday, June 1st, 7:15 p.m. at the Bandshell in City Park. If the weather does not permit, performances will be in the VCSU Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public with a will donation taken and put towards the continued programs and restoration of the bandshell. Bring a lawn chair, blanket/jacket and enjoy the outdoors and beauty of the City Park located on 4th St. SW. For more information call Diane at 701-840-1743.

• Hi Line Prairie Gardens, corner of 5th Ave. and 9th St. NE, will be giving out Meadow Blazing Star, a native perennial plant loved by pollinators and two varieties of grapes, great for jams and juice on Saturday, June 4th from 3-5 p.m. and Sunday, June 5th from 5-7 p.m. until gone.
