WEEKLY ONGOING EVENTS/REMINDERS:
*Dakota Rider Father’s Day Hillclimb has been postponed until Saturday, August 27, 10 a.m.
*The Bridges Backpack Program / Hi-Liner Pantry will be opening a Summer Grocery every Wednesday evening starting June 1st running thru August 3rd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the FAC’s room at the High School use door # 7. There will not be grab and go lunches this summer due to funding issues. We still want to help any family out that might need a little extra for breakfast, lunches or dinner. No income requirements and no questions asked. Please share! If anyone is interested in donating can do so by bringing it to the High School on Wednesday nights.
*St. Catherine Quilters
make quilts for those in need, meeting every Thursday from 1-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. in the basement gym of St. Catherine School. All are welcome, no experience necessary and supplies are provided. Questions call Christine 701-840-2580 or Lela 701845-8352.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule:

*Barnes County Museum, is open and welcoming visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. The museum is located at 315 Central Ave N, Valley City. Call Wes at 701-845-0966 for tour and additional information.

• 2022 Valley City Clean Up Week will be held June 6th-11th. June 6th-10th will be curbside pickup and landfil dropoff. June 11th from 8 a.m.-12 noon the landfill will be open for dropoff only.
Tues., June 7
• VCPR announces the outdoor pool will open for the first day on Tuesday, June 7th. Open swin is daily Sunday-Saturday 1-4:30 p.m. and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7-9 p.m. The pool is located at 870 2nd Ave NE, Valley City. For more information call 701-8450926.
• AmVets meeting will be held at the VC Eagles Club on June 7th, 7 p.m.
• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Beef tips with gravy, parmesan potatoes, corn, puddng. 9:30 a.m. Advisory Board, 1:15 p.m. Pinochle.
• VCBC Public Library Activities: 2 p.m. Luca movie, 5 p.m. buble experiments.
Wed., June 8
• Music in the Park: Kathy Brekke & the 42nd Street Jazz Band will entertain Wednesday, June 8th, 7:15 p.m. at the Bandshell in City Park. If the weather does not permit, performances will be in the VCSU Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public with a will donation taken and put towards the continued programs and restoration of the bandshell. Bring a lawn chair, blanket/jacket and enjoy the outdoors and beauty of the City Park located on 4th St. SW. For more information call Diane at 701-840-1743.

• Pifer land auction will be held at the VC Eagles Club from 8:30 a.m.-noon on June 9th.
• The Monroe Doctrine, house bluegrass band at the Vault Coffee Shop, will be performing from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Vault on Thursday, June 9. Free-will donations are appreciated. This week the concert will include special guests Kasey Moore and Evie Andrus from Knoxville, TN who are touring the midwest.

• 28th annual Jamestown Kite Fest will be held June 10-12 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. everyday in Meidinger Park Addition, 17th Ave SW and 10th St SW, Jamestown.

• The June Valley City bluegrass jam session is scheduled for Saturday, June 11 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Vault Coffee Shop. The jam is acoustic-only, free, and open to the public and designed for players with their basic bluegrass playing and singing skills in place. For more information, call John Andrus at 701-721-8296.
