WEEKLY ONGOING EVENTS/REMINDERS:

*Dakota Rider Father’s Day Hillclimb has been postponed until Saturday, August 27, 10 a.m.

*The Bridges Backpack Program / Hi-Liner Pantry will be opening a Summer Grocery every Wednesday evening starting June 1st running thru August 3rd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the FAC’s room at the High School use door # 7. There will not be grab and go lunches this summer due to funding issues. We still want to help any family out that might need a little extra for breakfast, lunches or dinner. No income requiremen­ts and no questions asked. Please share! If anyone is interested in donating can do so by bringing it to the High School on Wednesday nights.

*St. Catherine Quilters

make quilts for those in need, meeting every Thursday from 1-4:30 p.m. and 6:30-9 p.m. in the basement gym of St. Catherine School. All are welcome, no experience necessary and supplies are provided. Questions call Christine 701-8402580 or Lela 701-8458352.

*AA Fellowship Corner Meeting Schedule:

• Epworth United Women in Faith’s will host a Purse-sonatity Salad Luncheon featuring Pretzel Pineapple Salad on Thurs., June 23rd from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 680 8th Ave. SW, Valley City. All proceeds given to UWF Missions. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend.

• The Monroe Doctrine Bluegrass Band will perform on Thursday, June 23 at the Vault Coffee Shop and Arts Center from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. • Valley City Eagles Club Ladies Auxiliary Hamburger Night will be held June 23, 5-7 p.m. at the club.

• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Brat on a bun, potato wedges, beets, poke cake.

• VCBC Public Library Activities: 10:30 a.m. kids baking camp making scones. 6 p.m. In Knots crochet.

• Barnes County Senior Center meals and activities: Chicken casserole, cheesy green beans, dinner roll, cookie. 9:30 a.m. Bone Builders, 1 p.m. Bingo.

Sat., June 25

• Valley City Trap Club will hold a swedish pancake feed on Saturday, June 25th at 5 p.m. Come enjoy pancakes sausage and a special treat, the famous Legge Box Elder syrup (regular syrup will also be available). The event is a free will donation and open to the public, all are welcome to attend. All proceeds go to fun Valley City Trap Club and Hi-Liner High School Trap Team. VC Trap Range is located south on Kathryn Road, watch for signs on the left side of road.

• A baked potato bar fundraiser for Leanne Wiest with be held June 25th from 5-7 p.m. including a silent auction and bake sale starting at 5 p.m. and karaoke at 8:30 p.m.

• Valley City Meet & Greet Event with Attorney General Drew Wrigley will be held on Saturday, June 25th, 12 noon, at Pizza Corner, 202 Main St. E., Valley City. All are welcome to attend.

• Free Planetariu­m Show featuring Target Earth and Finding Polaris I will be shown on Saturday June 25th at 1:00 and 1:30 p.m. in Room 309 of the Rhoades Science Center on VCSU campus. Elevator available by west entrance and parking in the gravel lot on the NE side of the Rhoades Science Building and north of the VCSU Power House. • Pioneer Park Amphitheat­er Series entertainm­ent is TBA on Sunday, June 26th in Valley City, starting at 5:30 p.m. The events are free of charge and open to the public. All are welcome to attend.

• Music in the Park: FM Golden Notes New Horizons Band will entertain Wednesday, June 29th, 7:15 p.m. at the Bandshell in City Park. If the weather does not permit, performanc­es will be in the VCSU Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public with a will donation taken and put towards the continued programs and restoratio­n of the bandshell.
