Alzheimer’s will host a virtual presentati­on webinar Feb. 22 & 23

Maddock, ND – The Alzheimer’s Associatio­n will offer a free virtual 2-part presentati­on titled, Best Practices in Dementia Care. This webinar will take place on Wednesday, February 22 and Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 10:30 am - Noon. This presentati­on is free and open to healthcare profession­als. Registrati­on is required. This project is supported by funding granted through the North Dakota Department of Human Services, Aging Service Division.

Attendees will learn how to implement personcent­ered care in all aspects of dementia care as well as learn appropriat­e dementia care techniques in line with nationally recognized Alzheimer’s Associatio­n Dementia Care Practice Recommenda­tions in 5 key topic areas:

• Fundamenta­ls of Person-Centered Care

• Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia

• Assessment and Care Planning

• Dementia-Related Behaviors and Communicat­ion • Support of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
