An online guestbook and tribute page are available at www.lerudmathias. com Cindy Lorraine Everson was born November 18, 1952, in Valley City, ND to Robert and Dorothy (Rahlf) Everson. She grew up in a large family in the Hannaford, ND area. She was a member of the Hannaford High School class of 1970.

November 4, 1972, she married Dale Philip Kunze, they made their home near Dazey, ND. They were members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Cindy spent many years working with the ND Department of Transportation as a lab technician. She spent her free time doing a variety of things. She was on a pool league, raised horses, planted beautiful flower gardens, did woodworking and crochet. Cindy even sewed matching family outfits. On occasion, she was known to get some lottery tickets and play pull tabs.

Although she had many pastimes and loved her many animals (little dogs, horses, and cats), her number one joy was being able to spend time with her kids and grandkids. She and Dale raised and loved 3 boys and when the grandkids came along, there was even more love to go around. They watched and attended as many sporting events as possible, of all kinds, that they were able.

She had an “others first” mentality. Even though she only had 3 biological children, she had countless others that called her “mom”. There were 2 students that lived with the Kunze’s through the foreign exchange student program, Alvaro Cotta and Uri Flato. She cared for and fed chili to the North Central classes of 1992, 1993, 1995, and 1997. She thought of everything from Christmas cards to hiding thousands of Easter eggs and giving kids kites to fly. Every moment spent with her family and friends was special, she was often the last one to be sitting at the bonfires at the farm.

Cindy leaves behind her sons, Jeff (Brenda Everson), Travis (Anita) and Paul (Lisa); grandchildren, Jerica and Jared, Levi and Aubrey; her siblings, Edwin (Cindy) Everson, Bob (Nancy) Everson, Vickie (Joel) Omdahl, Ronnie (Tracy) Everson, Becky Soma, and Dan Everson; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and all of her friends, extended and in-law family and the rest of her “extra” family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Robert Everson; husband, Dale; in-law parents, Philip and Mary Kunze; sister-in-law, Denise Everson; brotherin-law, David Jorissen; nephews, Shawn Everson and Tim Everson; and great nieces, Aaliyah Fountain and Alison Halland.
