UPCOMING EVENTS: Tues., Feb. 13

• CHI Mercy Hospital Auxiliary will host a bake sale, in the hospital lobby, beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13th with all proceeds going toward the Auxiliary for events organized by the volunteer organization.

• VCBC Public Library Activities: 10:30 am Next Chapter Book Club

• Barnes County Senior Center menu: Lasagna, house salad, green beans, peaches. Activities: 1:00 PM - Pinochle.

Wed., Feb. 14

• VCBC Public Library Activities: 10 a.m. Circle Time, 10:30 Story Hour.

Sat., Feb. 17

• A benefit for Sam Hill will be held at the Valley City Eagles Club on Saturday, February 17, 5-7 p.m. with a baked potato bar, prize boards, silent auction and more. Come out and help support this young man and his family on his journey ahead.

• VCBC Public Library Activities: 2:30 p.m. In-Knot’s Crochet.

• Barnes County Senior Center menu: Chicken Kiev, rosemary potatoes, Normandy blend vegetables, apricots.

Sun., Feb. 18

• D24 Dem-NPL Convention will be held Sunday, February 18, 2 p.m., at the Gaukler Center in Valley City (733 8th Ave SW) with special guest Joel Heitkamp.

Mon., Feb. 19

• VCBC Public Library will be closed on Monday, February 19th in observation of President’s Day.

• Barnes County Courthouse will be closed Monday, February 19, 2024 in observance of President’s Day. The Barnes County Sheriff’s Office and Jail will remain staffed.

• Sheyenne Valley Memory Cafe will be held on Thurs., February 22, 1-3 p.m. at the St. Raphael Coffee Shop. The event is free and open to the public.

• District 24 Republican Dan Johnston Chairman Delegate/Endorsing Convention will be held Friday, February 23, at Republican Headquarters, 148 E. Main St. in Valley City. 5:30pm Social/Chili feed. Hear from candidates elect delegates to State NDGOP Convention Endorse legislative candidates.

• Noah Gurrola Astorga, owner of LaCita, benefit fundraiser will be held Friday, February 23 at the Eagles Club. Taco bar, serving from 5-7 p.m., along with silent auction, bake sale, 50/50 raffle, meat raffle and wine pull. Silent auction donations can be dropped off at Wild Prairie Bakery in Valley City, Tuesday - Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call 701-490-0670.
