‘The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling’ Premiere

Judd Apatow, Bob Saget, Kevin Nealon, Jon Lovitz, Kathy Griffin, Pauly Shore and Vanessa Bayer were among the comics celebrating the Los Angeles premiere of “The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling,” a two-part HBO documentary on the late comedian. Apatow, who directed and executive produced the film, said he learned while working on the project that Shandling “had chosen really consciously to be a mentor” to young comedians. Apatow had worked on “The Larry Sanders Show” early in his own career.
