She restyled the city’s service industry, but we could all use her tips. Las Vegas native Barbara Bell had a successful custom clothing company for athletes in Los Angeles when she reconnected with her now husband—back in Las Vegas. Switching locations meant switching industries, and a first uniform commission led to Bell Uniform Design (belluniformdesign.com). She has now designed for XS, Cosmopolitan and Omnia, and new jobs range from the massive Parq Vancouver to Amanyangyun in Shanghai. The mom of two young children, her style is a mix of high fashion and utilitarian— not unlike her design aesthetic itself.
