CONTRIBUTORS

“Every fall, I begin counting down the days, and temperature, until I can wear boots again. I’m particularly excited about the slouch boot, whether it’s a nude leather from Marc Jacobs or one with extra sparkle from Saint Laurent. But I feel like I am a chameleon. I am as comfortable in a Tom Ford dress and Dolce heels as I am in ripped jeans and Converse sneakers.”

“From my chat in this issue with Dsquared2’s Dan and Dean Caten, “glunge”— glamorous grunge. I’m a fan of the unconventional and mashing up themes and ideas in all aspects of life. That said, I’m a boring dresser, so let’s say I’d describe my personal style as casual and comfortable— with a bow tie as often as possible.”

JASON LATHAM contributing writer

“It will be a relief just to wear long sleeves again. I’ve got a drawer full of V-neck sweaters and waffle crews that have been neglected so long they’ve gone out of style and come back into style again. And my suits are gathering dust. My personal style is understated: black tees and blue jeans. My socks are usually the only things I let stand out.”

MICHAEL KAPLAN contributing writer

“The temperature is going down so I can wear a new leather jacket and take a baby step toward looking dope. I’d describe my personal style as “fell asleep in my clothing, rolled out of bed in the morning and tried to get unrumpled with limited success.”

EMILY WILSON contributing photographer

“It’s wonderful to see people getting outdoors, hiking, running, swimming and that it’s becoming more acceptable to blend active wear and day-to-day clothing. I’m an avid runner, swimmer and camper and it’s great that those things are all trending! Going out at night, my vibe is indie rock and West Coast bohemian. I’m a mom with two kids and I still ride my skateboard.”
