The Rossville Middle School Bulldogs kept pace for an NGAC playoff berth with a 20-0 win at Trion on Thursday.

Rossville (4-1) scored on its opening possession, driving 65 yards. Shawn Wilson scored the touchdown from 27 yards out with Jordan Tucker adding the 2-point conversion.

It would be the lone score of the half as Rossville stuffed Trion at the 3-yard line just before intermission. Tucker broke up a pass and Desmond Johnson came up with a tackle to keep the home team off the board.

After stopping Trion on the opening drive of the third quarter, Rossville put together another scoring drive with Cody Holland scoring from 18 yards out. The conversion attempt failed.

Trion would once again drive inside Rossville’s 5-yard line on their ensuing possession, but Chad Eaton forced a fumble with Eli Foshay recovering just shy of the goal lone. Rossville would fumble it away shortly thereafter, but Wilson came up big on defense moments later by picking off a third-down pass and racing 99 yards for the final TD of the night.

Eaton paced the defense with 7 tackles, including a sack, while Johnson, Holland, and Jacob Brock and Cody Holland all got in on six tackles.

Rossville will host LaFayette in the regular season finale this Thursday.
