Saturday, Oct. 19

· Newnan Springs United Methodist Church will have its annual barbecue today from l0 a.m. until 2 p.m. with eat-in or carry-out barbecue plates. Church is located on Lakeview Drive, across from Lake Winnie, and everyone is invited.

· Mt. Pisgah Church, at 66 Westbrook Road in Ringgold, today will hold a gift extravagan­za from 10 a.m. until noon. This is a great opportunit­y for gifts for the holidays.

· New Bethel Baptist Church tonight, beginning at 7 p.m., will hold a singing that features “The Hickeys.” The church is located at 1635 Salem Valley Rd. in Ringgold.

Sunday, Oct. 20

· Dr. Randy Faulkner, Sr. Pastor of Metropoli- tan Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, will be guest speaker at Parkway Bible Chapel as a highlight in the church’s Divine Directive Disciple Making Series. The church meets in the Chickamaug­a Room of the Hampton Inn, located near the intersecti­on of Interstate 75 and Battlefiel­d Parkway.

Wednesday, Oct. 23

· Heritage Pointe Baptist Church tonight hosts a Fall Family Fun Night at the church which is located at 60 Dyer Bridge Place in Ringgold. Ativities for families to do together include a bean bag toss, bobbing for apples and crafts. Snacks will be served and services such as financial counseling, haircuts, and medical screenings will be available at no charge.

Saturday, Oct. 26

· Battlefiel­d Parkway Church of the Nazarene will hold its Fall Bazaar from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. today, Oct. 26. The church is located adjacent Walmart.

· Rossville Baptist Tabernacle will hold a Fall Festival fundraiser from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26. There will be an outdoor flea market featuring antiques as well as food ranging from pinto beans and cornbread to baked goods. The church is located at 3336 Lakeview Dr. in Rossville.

· Cooper Heights Church of God is having a fall yard sale from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. today. Items include a coffee table, two end tables, lamps and an assortment of items from several estates including clothes and coats. The church is located at 12598 state Highway 193, about ½ mile north of the intersecti­on with state Highway 136.

· First Baptist Church of LaFayette will celebrate the 50th anniversar­y of their sanctuary on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at the 11 a.m. service. Everyone is welcome to attend.

· Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church today from 4-6 p.m. will have a Fall Festival featuring inflatable­s, games, food and fun. The church is located at 66 Westbrook Road in Ringgold.

· Rossville Community Ministries, which is supported by Churches in the Rossville area, is a food pantry stocked with non-perishable food to help families or individu- als in the Rossville area. Non-perishable food items, cash donations and volunteers are needed.
