Catoosa announces summer concert series

- Catoosa County Parks and Recreation press release

Catoosa County parks and recreation department is presenting its first season of a summer concert series called Park Rhythms. All concerts are free and will be held each Thursday, at 7 p.m. at the Northwest Georgia Amphitheatre, Benton Place, in Ringgold, beginning July 7 and continuing through July 28.

While food vendors will be on site to provide lots of favorites, event coordinators welcome tourists and community members to bring along their own picnic dinner and blankets to enjoy during the show.

Bands slated to perform are:

July 7 - The Band Raven, a local favorite country/classic rock band from Ringgold. They cover a wide range of popular modern country music as well as popular classic rock.

July 14 - Chris Renzema & the New Nature Choir, a folk/Christian rock band from Nashville, Tenn.

July 21 - Barefoot Nellie & Co., a smoothdriving Bluegrass band based out of Chattanooga, Tenn. Founded in 2007, this band compiles impressive driving, darker original arrangements, blending standard traditional bluegrass with a more innovative approach.

July 28 - Misfit Toyz, a hard-edged, local 80s rock band from north Georgia that will be playing lots of favorites from the music that inspired them.
