Harrison Rudy Dunn, 90 Rossville

Harrison “Rudy” Dunn, of Rossville, Ga., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, July 18, 2016. He was 90.

He was born in Tellico Plains, Tenn., to the late Robert Love and Ethel Mae Dunn, but lived in the North Georgia area since 1950 and was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church.

He was an Army veteran of W.W. II and retired from Bunge Oil in 1991 after more than 44 years of service.

Rudy loved being outdoors, gardening, mowing or whatever else he could find to stay busy. He loved watching westerns and sports and was an avid Tennessee Vols fan.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfathe­r and great-grandfathe­r that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 65 years, Roxie Mae Lee Dunn and siblings, Luella Pearson, Irene Dunn, Rosa Lee Oliver, Theodore Dunn, Robert Dunn, Herman Dunn and Frank Pearson.

Survivors include: His daughter, Amy Portwood of Ringgold, Ga.; son, Steve (Angie) Dunn of Rossville; brother, Horace Dunn of Athens, Tenn.; four grandchild­ren and spouses, Stevie and Kelly Dunn Jr., Alyson and Chase Greeson, Nick and Sara Dunn and Ashley and Johnathan Portwood; five great-grandchild­ren, Kaydence Bolen, Rylan, Charley, Gunner and Greyson Dunn and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation: Wednesday, July 20, from 4-8 p.m. and prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home.

Funeral services: Thursday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m., in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Clifton Brown officiatin­g.

Burial: Chattanoog­a National Cemetery.
