Frances Evelyn King, 85 Rossville

Frances Evelyn King, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016, at a local hospital. She was 85.

She was a native of Tennessee, lived most of her life in North Georgia and was a 1948 graduate of Rossville High School.

Mrs. King was employed at Happy Valley Farms from 1952 to 1954 and most recently worked for Lookout Mountain Community Services from 1991-2002 as a house parent. Her passions in life were taking care of her family and reading romance novels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas King; son, Kelley King; brothers, Carl Allen, Lavens Allen, Charles Allen and Ivan Allen.

Survivors include: Her sons, Carlton (Geraldine) King and Bruce King; daughter, Margie King; sisters, Sara (Amos) Lawson and Carolyn Exum; grandchildren, Matthew King and Brooke (Alex) King Williams; great-granddaughter, Sydney Williams.

Graveside services: Monday, July 18, at 1 p.m. at Lakewood South Memory Gardens.
