Sandra Matthews Bloomer, 74 Rossville

Sandra Matthews Bloomer, of Rossville Ga., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016, at a local healthcare facility. She was 74.

Mrs. Bloomer was born Dec. 1, 1941, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late Lenial and Reba Sims Matthews.

Her passions in life were camping, traveling, cooking, her grandchildren, puzzles and working hard at everything she did.

She was a member of Lakeview First Baptist Church and a graduate of the 1959 class of Lakeview High School.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Matthews and a son-in-law, Billy Pilgrim.

Survivors include: Her husband, Mike Bloomer; sons, Joey Ellis, Mark (Starr) Ellis, Timothy (Angela Pettitt) Ellis; daughter, Renee Ellis Pilgrim; brother, David (Linda) Matthews; stepdaughter, Brooke Stockman;

sister-in-law, Janice Matthews; grandchildren, Heather Pilgrim, Brandon Ellis McCarthy, Xaiven Ellis, Xain Ellis and Casey Ellis and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Thursday, Aug. 11, from 5-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral service: Friday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m. at Lane South Crest Chapel.

Burial: Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
