Betty Ruth Lunsford Guffey, 79 Rock Spring

Betty Ruth Lunsford Guffey, of Rock Spring, Ga., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, Aug. 5, 2016. She was 79.

She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas and was a member of New Haven Fellowship Church of God.

She was the owner and operator of Guffey Property Management services for many years and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Guffey; son, Dennis Guffey; grandson, Joel Guffey; seven brothers, Ellis, Howard, Willis, Fred, Carl, Dennis and Winford Lunsford and one sister, Pauline Bennett.

Survivors include: Two brothers, Robert Lunsford of Ringgold, Ga., and David Lunsford of Ooltewah, Tenn.; four grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Nora, Rema, Judy and Peggy Lunsford and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation: Monday, Aug. 8, after 4 p.m. and prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services: Tuesday, Aug. 9, at 1 p.m. in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Minister Jack Sexton officiating.

Burial: TennesseeGeorgia Memorial Park.
