Joseph Parks Young Jr., 60 Flintstone

Joseph Parks Young Jr., of Flintstone, Ga., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, Aug. 12, 2016. He was 60.

He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of Five Star Baptist Church in Alpharetta.

He loved being around people and always lived life to the fullest. He inspired many others by the way he lived his life and his legacy will continue to live on through those he met along the way.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Willie Ray Hawkins and brother, Johnathan Mark Young.

Survivors include: His mother, Margaret Broome Hawkins; father, Joseph Young Sr.; siblings, Marvie Harris, Wendell Young of LaFayette, Eve Watts of Rock Spring, Adam Young, Wade Young of LaFayette and Hanna Grace Young of Dalton; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation: Sunday, Aug. 14, after 5 p.m. and prior to the service in the LaFayette Chapel.

Funeral service: Monday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m. in the LaFayette Chapel with Rev. Tyler Young officiating.

Burial: LaFayette City Cemetery.
