Willard Archie Alexander, 60 Ringgold

Willard Archie Alexander Jr., of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at a local hospital. He was 60.

Mr. Alexander is a native of the Metropolit­an Atlanta area but lived in the Ringgold area for the past year and a half.

He was a 1974 graduate of Lovett High School. He also graduated from Transylvan­ia University in Lexington, Ky., with a bachelor’s degree. He was a member of Life’s Hope Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga.

His passions in life were his wife, family and flowers. Mr. Alexander was known for his unconventi­onal sense of humor and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Willard “Willie” Archie Alexander Sr., and his mother, Montine Alexander.

Survivors include: His wife of 22 years, Lyn Alexander; daughters, Cheriti LaDale Page of Rossville and Jennifer (Jon) Huddleston of Brainerd; sister, Teresa Landen of Powder Springs, Ga.; two grandchild­ren, Zachary Scott Page and Tyler Blake Page and several nieces and nephews.

celebratio­n of life service: Saturday, Sept. 3, at 3 p.m. at Life’s Hope Baptist Church, 3360 Hicks Road, Marietta, Ga., with Larry Rogers officiatin­g.

To honor the personal wishes of Mr. Alexander, he requested all those in attendance to wear happy colors.
