Kenneth Lamar Johnson, 52 Rossville

Kenneth Lamar “Bubba” Johnson, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2016, at his home. He was 52.

Lamar was a lifelong resident of the Ft. Oglethorpe and Rossville area. He worked as a truck driver at Volunteer Express and attended North Georgia Worship Center.

His passions in life were his family, camping, fishing, cooking, going to flea markets and yard sales, and he was known for his sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Johnson; mother, Barbara Ritchie and wife, Schlinda Johnson.

Survivors include: His wife, Kathy Johnson; children, Jason Johnson of Ft. Oglethorpe and Crystal Johnson of Ft. Oglethorpe; stepson, Charles Patterson of Tiftonia; stepdad, Tony Ritchie of Ft. Oglethorpe; sister, Annette (Rocky) Sanders of Rossville; brothers, Toney (Renee) Ritchie of East Ridge, Tenn., and Buddy (Pam) Johnson of Ringgold; five grandchild­ren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, Aug. 31, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral services: Thursday, Sept. 1, at 6 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Nick Forshee officiatin­g.
