Stanley Ray Wright, our Marine warrior, fought his last fight Monday, Oct. 17, 2016.

He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the U. S. Marine Corps. Once a Marine, always a Marine. Ooh Rah!

Stanley lived his whole life in the North Georgia area. He loved camping, hiking and hunting, but most of all, his Auburn TigersWar Eagle! He was a man of few words, but had a deep heart. He spoke with honesty and wisdom, and was known to be a hard worker who cared deeply about his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Homer E. and Irene C. Wright.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 45 years, Janice Blevins Wright; three daughters, Kristi (Jeff) Caissie, Kellie (Jason) McLeod and Karen (Darrel) Cross; five beautiful granddaugh­ters that were the apple of his eye, Alisha Caissie, Auburn Pritchett, Kennedee Cross, Kyleigh Cross and Willow McLeod; two brothers, Eddie (Sandra) Wright and Larry (Donna) Wright; three sisters-in-law, Jane Young, Julia Sexton and Mary McPherson; brotherin-law, Larry Blevins; a very dear personal friend, Earlene Arthur Ward; a slew of nieces and nephews that were all dear to his heart and many wonderful friends that he loved.

Visitation: Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service hour at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral service: Thursday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Lane South Crest Chapel with pastors Gene Strauss and Jon Bemis officiatin­g.

Burial: Lakewood South Memory Gardens, with military honors.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of Chattanoog­a, especially Doug Albriton and Judy Roden for their exceptiona­l care for Stanley.
